Historic Center Walking Tour

Departure: 10:00am from hotel lobby - please be on time!
Finish: 11:30 at the dock. We will go straigh to the boat ride

Good to know:
- Short walk around the city.
- Already bring all you will need for the boat ride as we will not go back to the hotel
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes (uneven cobblestones). Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and some cash for small purchases.
- Keep an eye on the guide so the group stays together.

To have in mind:

Paraty’s Historic Center forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage site “Paraty and Ilha Grande” (inscribed in 2019). Expect a pedestrian-only quarter paved with traditional "pé-de-moleque stones and preserved colonial façades. Landmarks include the Church of Santa Rita (1722), which houses the Museum of Sacred Art. On spring-tide days, some streets are known to take in seawater briefly—an old drainage feature.
